Welcome back to our Spotlight on Venues series! We are excited to share some of our favorite wedding venues in Northern California with you. My name is Katy; I’m Ginny’s background assistant and an admirer of all things beautiful. One of the most charming venues I’ve ever seen is Nestldown – I think you’ll love it just as much as I do!
Nestldown is a private retreat located in the Santa Cruz mountains, tucked away from the rush and bustle of the city life. This enchanting 180-acre property is full of amenities for all ages to enjoy, and gorgeous views from landscaped lawns and gardens to untouched trees and natural elements. Once a working fruit farm, Nestldown is now filled with delightful elements such as the Fantasy Garden and Cottage, topiary figures, darling structures and carrousel animals. Balancing the whimsy are tall trees, a breathtaking outdoor chapel, and Nestldown‘s signature building, The Barn. This is an amazing venue for your whimsical and rustic wedding.
You and your guests will be able to enjoy gardens, ponds, waterfalls, redwood forests, bridges, and blooming flowers; creating a visual treat that no one will forget. Your ceremony will take place in the outdoor chapel, with a staircase made of earth and wood winding through a grove of redwood trees that reach for the sky. Enjoy the natural shade while you and your loved one exchange your vows while surrounded by your friends and family. After your ceremony, escape away to take a ride on the miniature train, wander through the trees, or gaze at the immaculate ponds. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air during your reception, and dance the night away inside the majestic barn. High ceilings, elegant chandeliers, rich exposed wood and large windows create one last touch of magic to your wedding day at Nestldown.
