He deals with my crazy self on a daily basis. VOLUNTARILY. For over 12 years.

My husband is my second shooter 90% of the time. He works his own full time job during the week, but completely dedicates his Saturdays to second shooting for me, and does a phenominal job. Seriously- you will get some amazing portraits and candids added to your wedding images if he is present. Lover of kittens, watcher of Meryll Streep movies (sorry, Mike,), and the most intelligent brain that never turns off.

Selecting favorites from Mike’s shots this last year is so much easier for me that choosing from my own (they’re like my CHILDREN… how do you choose???) His imagery always seems to capture intense emotion up close, utilizing the most beautiful light.

He also has the benefit of catching some behind the scenes moments when I turn away and things get weird…like when the bride pulls a shot of vodka out of her purse, or when the groomsmen ‘express their love’ to the groom…

I couldn’t ask for anything more when a fantastic couple find me and asks me to be a par tof their wedding day. Alisa and TJ are complete sweethearts (view their engagement session here ) and I loved being able to follow them along on their wedding day. The were married at the beautiful Palmdale Estates in Fremont. With its beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception areas paired with the vintage ballroom, this venue was so much fun to get to shoot. Soft blush tones, handmade vintage brooch bouquets made by the bride’s mother, and the world’s cutest ring bearer/flower girl. EVER. Seriously.
