This one’s going to be a doozey.
The reasons are threefold:
1) This couple is awesome. All my couples are awesome. I don’t know why I have such amazing people find me, but Jennifer and Jasan did not disappoint. SO in love, so excited to just celebrate with friends and family, an easy going attitude, great sense of humor, and completely willing to listen to any suggestions to get the most out of their wedding photography. I couldn’t as for better clients.
2) Their wedding was heartfelt. These two put in so much time choosing meaningful elements to express their love for each other and their family/friends at their wedding. I cried multiple times at this wedding, but the main clinchers were 1) All you need is love as the procesional music (unique and super sweet choice), 2) Velveteen Rabbit reading (ok.. maybe this one is a little more popular but it will always make me weep like a little baby) 3) The father-daughter dance to Rainbow Connection (I’m a sucker for anything Jim Henson). In addition to these, these two set up photos of loved ones and their love stories, Jasan’s dad hand crafted the succulent planters, and Jennifer’s bouquet was adorned with a tiny photo of her late mother in her memory.
3) The details. So many unique details = a happy photographer. From the cootie-catcher ceremony programs, to the hand planted succulents, to the signs carried in the processional, this wedding had so many handmade details (that being said… get ready for detail-photo overload).
4) OOPS… I said three didn’t I… well…. this one’s a bonus. Towards the end of the night, things got weird. And we all know I like weird. There were shirtless men walking around in animal masks from the photo booth. A man did the splits. There was a legitimate wedding crasher who’s mysterious photo booth picture is now a prized posession of the bride and groom.
Jennifer and Jasan, it was truly an honor to get to know you both and to witness and document your beautiful day. I adore you two!
