Jenn and Alex had such a beautiful, heartfelt day- one of the days where my heart feels happy and I feel lucky to have a job which allows me to witness, up close and personally, the joy that a wedding day brings as friends and family surround a couple they love dearly and celebrate with them that they have found their forever home in each other. These two were married at one of my favorite venues, Stones and Flowers Wedding Retreat in Ben Lomond. This peaceful venue is nestled in the redwood forest and set a serene, peaceful, contemplative tone for the day.
Jenn and her father shared a special moment before Jenn went to see Alex for their first look.
After they shared a few moments together and with their wedding party amongst the redwoods at Stones and Flowers, we headed to the church for their ceremony.
And if you haven’t picked this up from my blog already, animal lovers tend to gravitate to me. I am so happy they brought their sweet pups to be a part of their wedding day (even if they weren’t allowed in the church 😉 )
Hand picked vintage china, antique book centerpieces, and the most elegant container of bug spray for those pesky forest insects you ever did see.
How magical is this barn?
The groom’s thank you speech was where I lost it at this wedding. Alex expressed the most thoughtful gratitude to his father-who had suffered from health issues and who worked so very hard at recovery, listened from one of the cabins afar as he rested during dinner-such an honor to document this special moment of emotional gratitude. This moment was a true testament to this family and their dedication and respect for one another, and the love was just radiating.
