Client Wedding Gift Registries Now Available | Sonoma Wedding Photography

I am SO excited to offer a brand new service to my wedding clients- a wedding registry for photography services, add-ons, and products.

So often, I have wedding clients who really value the importance of photography and printed products but they just can’t stretch their budget to accommodate wedding products/services beyond the basics.

When Mike and I were planning our wedding, I felt so awkward registering for gifts. We had been together 9 years already and had laready lived together for about 3-4 years. Add onto that the fact that my father is a chef and I have inherited a hoarders dream of kitchenware from him, registering for housewares felt a little unnecessary. We were so thankful for all of the gifts we received, but had I been offered a registry for additional photo products I know would have felt that to be a great alternative. Photography is the only tangible thing which remains from your wedding day expenses (except your spouse… but you didn’t pay for them… hopefully. Who am I to judge?) and investing in longer coverage, engagement sessions, wall art, a quality album, or other items gets your memories into tangible form for your family to enjoy for years to come.

They registry system is super simple to use and integrate into your wedding as you would with any other online registry.

I will be sending all contracted wedding clients a link to set up a registry- there is no pressure to utilize this, and if you choose to use it it is a free service. If you decide to register for products through the link, you simply just share the website with your wedding guests (invitations for bridal shower and wedding usually include registry information/websites).

SETTING UP YOUR REGISTRY:

1) Click the link I send to you in the Wedding Registry Email

2) Log in at the registry website using the username and password from the registry email. You will be taken to the client registry page, which will look like this:

Here you can upload a photo and edit your introduction paragraph to your wedding guests

3) To register for products/services/upgrades, click the check mark in the right corner of the item to add it to your registry

You will see green check marks to indicate items you have selected to be in your registry

THATS IT!

HOW GUESTS CAN PURCHASE FROM YOUR REGISTRY:

Include your registry link in your wedding or bridal shower invitations. Friends and family will visit the link and will view the registry as seen below:

They will click on an item they choose to expand and read more information:

Larger/more expensive items are broken down into denominations- just like your wedding guests would purchase one place setting of fine china as opposed ot the entire set, they purchase one, two, or however many denominations of a gift they see fit. The registry displays how many denominations are left available for purchase.

They will select the number of gifts they would like to purchase, and then will click to checkout:

On my end, I receive a receipt specifying the name of the person purchasing and the gifts/amount given. After you receive your wedding images, products can be designed using the images of your choice. In the event that the full amount of a gift is not reached, you still have the credit to apply to another gift. Registry gifts must be claimed (products designed and approved) within two months after receiving your wedding images.

This is a phenominal way to say on the cost of wedding photography- adding on rehearsal dinner coverage, engagement sessions, albums, extra hours of coverage, etc now can be gifted to you instead of coming out of your wedding budget. Bigger wedding budget = more cake. More cake = delicious.
